MH lights are good for growing orchids, be sure to check lumen levels. 14K, although it will (probably) work ok for growing plants, will look very strange.

the intense UV output of an MH at that kelvin rating is going to roast your plants IMO...but go ahead I'm curious to see some fried phal salad...you can feel MH from 15 ft away..going to put your plants down the hall? but go pahead I'm curious anyway

after reading some about the 14K lights they may not burn ya plants up...might be interesting to see what it looks like as the 14k spectrum is for bringing out the color in aquariums and you have all that water cooling the rays off between the lamp..dont have anything but air between the lights and the plants to diffuse it and may be a bit much
