Lighting issues

Hey All,

Basically I need help with lighting. I cannot use my north facing windows in my apartment so please help!

I want to buy some orchids that say:

1-Intermediate to cool
2-Indirect light / slight shadowing.
3-some say 500-1500 fc and others say 1500-2000 fc

4-I would like to put a metal rack type of shelves in my kitchen because I am mostly in this area right next to the dining room so it will be nice to keep the orchids here.

5-If they say intermediate to cool which lights dont produce alot of heat.
6- how can I improve humidity my kitchen is open no way to close it.
