Default Am I spiking or making chids?

I am a newbie with a passion for the Phals. The President of my company has always thrown his monthly orchid in the trash. as of the past year, I have been "trash hunting" and hav been very successful with saving Phals from the dirty doom and beyond. I used to take them to my BF's home in NJ, but I think the water (well water) turned them black and I didn;t know what to do - hence I have found this orchid board and love the steps by steps guidance and advice found here.
So, am I spiking or making chids...what ever it is, it's pretty exciting!

I had my fingers crossed on that. I have about 8 phals and 1 dendrobium and all seem to be thriving. Watching them is quite theraputic I find and happy they are with me all day at work.
Thanks for your reply

Ah Ha...I was wondering if they were 2 different Phals. The 2nd set Phal looks like a bloom spike to me.

Just my 2 cents. We'll see.
