I only started growing orchids less than a year ago. I live in New England so lights are a necessity in the winter. I agree that this is the best place to learn. i have a confession to make, though, which is that I have a master's degree in Botany. But what I studied was tissue culture. I would be in great shape to do flasking, if I had the time.
