Default Barrina grow light too much PPFD?

So i've considered getting either some T5 or T8 grow light from Barrina. But due to limited distance from LED to plant i'm a little worried my low light plants will get a little too much. Using an Ikea FJÄLLBO for my orchids

Lets say from plant to LED is there around 20cm (8 inches)

With a single T5 would that be 91.1 PPFD according to their site.

Jewel orchids and paph ect like around 60 max 80 (According to this site) How many mmol/PPFD does my plant need to thrive?

Which they say need around 7-11 DLI to meet its daily requirement of light

So would i burn my plants if i used the 91.1 on them for less time then the 80/60 PPFD?

If so can i somehow dampen the light. I can't seem to find a regulator or something

Nobody needs artificial lighting for jewel orchids. They require very low light, less than for Phalaenopsis. They want less light than almost any other house plant.

I agree with ES. My jewel orchids (standard variety) always look best when they’re grown in ridiculously low light. As a scientist with a decade of ag experience, it still blows my mind that they thrive in such low light (so long as the exposure time is long enough).

The Winter day length in Switzerland might be too short for jewel orchids. A standard household light could be used to extend the day, morning and/or evening, to 10 hours. The plant would not need to be directly under the lamp, just near it.

The OP is in Denmark, so ambient light could get quite low in mid-winter.

If that IKEA lamp is the only option, I’d probably just put a layer of nylon diffuser (“shear”) fabric in front of the lamp.

Its the danish flag

Swiss one is a cross in the middle that does not extend to the borders

Yeah it gets pretty dark in the winter rather early up here
