I'm thinking of buying a 2x4x7 grow tent and growing or orchids mostly brassavola types on upper level more shade types in middle and other shadier types as well as tropical plants on ground.
I really need to know what type of light LED preferred to use that would give optimal growth, what wattage, size, type and any other information that you wanna throw in would be helpful.
I don't grow orchids under lights now. I hope somebody else joins this thread. But if you mean 7 feet tall, you're going to need more than one light. There isn't enough light 7 feet below a lamp for most orchids to grow.
I suggest you peruse the Growing under Lights forum, accessible from the left yellow menu, Forums.

The Orchid Hobbyist has a lighting system that seems ideal for this setup. Since my tent is slightly smaller that yours I am using two lights, one for each of two shelves.
My tent is 3 ft deep, 5 ft wide and 7 ft tall. Inside it's set up like a 3 x 5 greenhouse bench with most of the plants on top. Two Spider Farmer SF1000's, about 3 feet apart, hang 40 inches above the table. With that level of light I am able to grow and bloom big happy Cattleyas. However the few plants underneath the table don't seem to be getting enough light.
