Full spectrum T5 vs. Red/blue LED

I like cree full spectrum cobs and the Samsung lm leds used on the hlg quantum boards. Both grow orchids very well. That said, here’s one of the greenhouses at our university that my buddy rents space in. They use Philips blurple and things seem to thrive under them. They also look cool at night from the outside.
