That's awesome CH. The orchids and the growing area. Could even grow pitcher plants in there (eg. the amazing Nepenthes kinds)!!! (maybe you do already!!!!!).

Clawhammer, what are you using for the bottom trays on your shelves? Looks ready made as a drip tray? Trying to find parts for when I get my basement greenhouse project up and running. Something like that would help a lot for what I'm looking to set up.

They are called "rack trays" and are made by Botanicare. They are perfect for wire shelves.

Thanks DC! High intensity light plants at the top, low intensity at the bottom

Thanks to this forum, I wouldn't be nearly as successful without all the great information and support I have received here.

It's a shame those 60 watt Relassy panels are discontinued now. They were only a year old when I first found them and a year later they are discontinued.
I have 1 myself but I hate knowing I can't get a replacement/spare or additional one anymore.

When it comes to decent lights they are either rare, expensive or both.

They are still available on Amazon. I hadn't heard about them being discontinued, where did you hear that?
