Talking KLN and Physan 20

Hey Ross, I had ordered Ray's small S/H kit and it included a bottle of Fertilizer and KLN I washed the primeagra and mixed the KLN according to the bottle and am now soaking the primeagra in the KLN. I will repot two Paphs in the morning. I am keeping my fingers that by repotting these two they will perk up as they are soft and droopy. Gonna cut my cork board tomorrow and get them ready to mount the chids on.

I use it all the time! I get the store-brand of the original brown Listerine and keep it full strength in a spray bottle. Whenever I see something I don't like...spots or mold etc...I just give the plant a spray It seems to be working and I always have it within arm's reach.
Would you use it on "questionable" roots as well? Thanks!!

The orchid growers and supply houses in this area (Greater Washington DC) claim their cork is kiln dried which, if handled correctly afterwards (there is always an"if") should handle most critters and microoganisms one might be concerned over.
All the places I checked in the above metropolitan area did not carry KLN so I too ordered it from FirstRay who I believe is in Pennsylvania based on his zip code.

Thanks Nick.....The little stars nodosa hybrid we have is actually doing great - thanks to an ionic humidifier right under her in lieu of misting. I'm mostly concerned with leaf treatment for scale etc....wold KLN work safely on that? (But we do have a red jewel slc hybrid that is being a bit wonky in his roots.....we have yet to see a real improvement in their color, and I'm worked about bacterial root rot even though he's mounted on stone.) Cheers!

Sorry...I only saw this today

I grab my Listerine sprayer anytime I see something that doesn't look "right" I also spray the roots and leaves of any plant I repot. I spray it well, let it sit for a few minutes and then rinse it with the sprayer, making sure to get any water out of the crown

Nick, First Rays is a class act. I get my KLN from him. You can't go wrong with that choice.
