I found some dead mangrove wood in Florida and I brought it back with me. However, I found it lying in the mud where there was saltwater/brackish water. So I have been leaching it a little bit and scrubbed the bark off. It still has an odor to it that is sulfurous. But the wood is in good condition. How do I treat the wood for preparation for mounting orchids on it? Is it a suitable for mounting orchids on it? I would love your insight and opinions on this wood.
