I have it in a pudding cup that I've repurposed as an orchid pot. I will order a net pot for the next size up from this cup, but it will be a while before it outgrows the pudding cup I think. It's got a bunch of holes in it though. This was one of my experimental cups and I thought it was close enough to a net pot to do the job.

I have a couple of pellets of hydroton in the bottom to weight the cup down a bit and then it's in a mix of bark and moss and I topped it with a few longer fibers of moss. I'm lazy when it comes to watering, so I have to give myself a visual cue to look for when a plant needs to be watered. The moss on top of the pot changes color when its dry.

I'm surprised my paphs haven't staged a protest. I think I might be more of a cattleya person. My cattleya alliance plants don't seem to care when I water them, as long as I don't forget about them entirely. LOL!

I hear ya on the watering! Hence the saucers of water w/some of my moisture loving plants.

I must have just missed the pudding cup thing...that should be perfect.

Wanted to post an update on this guy: New Growth! I keep the saucer he's in filled up each morning when I see that the plant is nearing a dry state. It could look better, but I am pleased to see a new leaf develop so soon after removing it from the mount and potting it up this way. I think this method will work much better for me in the long run. This little plant seems to be happy, at long last!

It's actually quite a large plant when it grows. I purchased a seedling without realizing it. I got it for 10$ so no complaints there. The blooms are gorgeous. Great big yellow flowers. Really spectacular! I can't wait to see them on my own plant!

Say thanks, I was just looking at this one this morning. Seattle Orchids has it. I still haven't decided if I want a stinker or not but I am pretty sure I'm going to try a bulbo at some point.

It's a question! There are some bulbos that smell nice rather than stinky. I like the novelty of a stinky orchid.
