It looks good Joy! I don't have any Phalaenopsis on mounts. Mine are all potted. So I want to know how your newly mounted Sederia japonica fares.

Looks good. Make sure it gets nearly dry before watering.
I have a mounted Sedirea, got it that way from Andy's. It grows outside or in a window. I've only had it a year, but it's been doing well so far.

Thanks, Matt! This one just wasn't liking s/h or ecoweb. You can see the tiny little leaves it has been growing since winter. I will give updates on how it fares. I have one other mounted orchid... A neo, of course!

Thanks! I was too scared to start with a large mount. What phals do well mounted?

Looks good, just keep an eye on how it dries. In my climate I would mount with a lot less moss than that, but in other climates you need plenty. If it dries very slowly then maybe try removing a little.

P.S. I've moved this thread to the 'Growing on Mounts' area so those experienced in mounting are more likely to see it.

Thanks for moving the thread, Rosie! I forgot about the mount section.
It is so dry here in Colorado that if left outside the terrarium, the moss would dry within a few hours. I am finding I have to completely soak it every other day.

Yeah, sounds like you need plenty of moss then!
