Here are a few of the mounts I have done lately.
First is a now noid (I lost the tag) that I put into a hollow cherry knot. I don't know how it will hold up, but the plant is already attaching to it after a month or so.
A very weathered piece of unkown wood that I boiled and baked then mounted a P. equestris to.
And finally, my B. nodosa that just finished blooming. I decided I would look to the future and mounted it to a rather large white oak burl. I am hoping for a nice specimen in the future. This burl weathered naturally for a year, then I boiled and baked it. It still has the bark attached. Got a huge amount of burls left on this tree to harvest.
So what do you think???
