Mounting mini Phal NOIDS on fallen limb with lichen
I browsed through a lot of threads and found out so far that wood wise I should be alright since it is either an oak or a pecan (lots of those here in Mississippi). It's wet from a recent rainstorm, so I'm not concerned with it being too dry.
My question was if I could set two small phal NOIDS that I recently rescued on it with relative success. I'm new to orchids (only a year into it and only killed one that was on it's way out when I found it, poor leafless thing) and was hoping to try mounting early on. I'm not sure of my humidity as I live in a dorm room (I'm pretty sure it's dry though). If they are still recouperating from there saturated sphag experience, could they adapt to growing on bark rather than in it?
