It has a mild, pleasant fragrance. I have never smelled Chantilly perfume but there might be a connection.

I really like Caularthron bicornatum and think this one looks really cute.
I actually wish I had something suitable to pollinate my flowering Caularthron with at the moment (except for a x self, obviously...that's always an option), but the only other cattleya that is flowering at the moment just does not look like a good match. Oh well...next time!

My plant looked rather bad in the Spring and I moved it from the greenhouse to the outside and it has improved to a normal healthy looking plant again. They don't seem to bloom at any particular time. As soon as they mature a new growth, they bloom right away.

I got my plant as a seedling from Olympic Orchids several years ago. I just checked their site and did not see any listed. However, I found five other plants I couldn't resist. Three of them were angraecums and though the plants are small the prices are even smaller. Some were listed for three dollars.
