Has anyone used zoo med's cork tile for a mount? I'm trying to find a good material. Thanks!

I have and it is decent material. The one problem is that the shape descriptions can be less than accurate - you may get a full round cylinder when you are expect a half-round.

There are some orchid supply vendors that I prefer to buy cork from.

I have purchased cork from Jim's Orchid Supplies. They advertise here and I have been happy with my purchases from them.

The cork tile works okay, and comes in standard-sized squares, but it probably won't last as long as virgin cork because the glues, etc. in the backing will degrade over time. For virgin cork bark I've found First Rays to have some of the best prices and cheapest shipping. Depending on where you're located you may also have some freely-obtainable woods that work well for mounts; I've used red cedar, crape myrtle, and rhododendron with good results. Hope this helps!
