Default First time mounting
This was the first time I ever mounted an orchid, his poor guy just wasn't doing well so I tried my hand at mounting something other than Broms, one year later its growing lots of roots and I'm hoping for blooms soon.

Really a nice mounting job. I have wondered about removing the nylon thread once the plant is secured on the mount. Should I or shouldn't I?

Once you're sure the plant is secure to the mount with several roots, you can remove the ties. I personally think it looks much nicer once the ties are removed.

I didn't use nylon thread, I used cotton thread, because I didn't want to worry about removing it, I think it will just rot and fall off, like I said it was my first time mounting so I might have been wrong by using cotton thread but it is working out so far
