Lately I'm being doing some orchids mounting, differents materials, but I was thinking that the tropical fruit Guava its very hard wood, it doesn't have any crevices, but I think if I make the crevices and use sphagnum moss, it will work. What do you think? My neighbor has a tree.
most mounts are from barky coniferous trees that doesnt rot easy....guava is a smooth barked tree that is hardy and strong and wont decay easily ....your instinc it right; you can add some moss to cover the roots to retain moisture and humidity
