Mounting a Phalaenopsis ......?

I mounted one to a clay saucer with a bunch of sphag. It is doing quite well at this time.

Andy's Orchids has Phal species mounted. All of his Phals are mounted. He doesn't sell them potted. I don't think he has many or any on his site but if you call him he has a lot more stuff. I really want some Phal species and I just visited Andy's Orchids but I'm not brave enough to try the bigger species mounted yet. But I did get a Phal parishii from him that is mounted. Good luck!

I have a number of Phals mounted. I wrote an article awhile back you can find in the Members Articles listing. Look for Growing Medium and then under that "Living with Orchids and How to Mount Them". A nice piece of driftwood works but so does cork. Mine fortunately are grown outside year round so watering is easy for me. They get watered daily. So depending on what your set up is you may or may not find mounting helpful. I'll be happy to give you information on how to do it if you decide you want to try. Phal equestris does nicely mounted since it is small and might fit in with your other small mounts. I'll be happy to provide more information on how to if you need it. Good luck
