Default Sophronitis cernua - help with mounting

I bought Sophronitis cernua already mounded on a tiny bit of cork some time ago and this little beauty is doing just fine. But it seems to me that it would benefit from being mounted on a bigger cork. Is there safe way how to remove it from it's original cork wihout making too much damage to the roots? Or any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Lenka

I usually just attach the old cork mount to a larger one. Eventually the plants overgrow it all and you cannot even see that there are two pieces.

I agree with Ray...don't risk damaging any roots on the existing mount. Just attach the entire thing to a new larger piece of cork.

Let us know how it turns out
