Grape Wood
Is there a market or is it worth putting pieces on ebay for mounting? I have some that I was thinking of selling for 5, 4 and 3 dollars. They would be good for hanging or laying down like a small log in the forest. They are not big pieces like for a viv or terrarium.( Don't want to deal with mailing a huge stick or small tree. I think they look good and am going to use some as soon as I get some moss. Check them out on ebay tonight. Thanks, Eric

Yes, apparently people get pretty big money for pieces of dead grape vine. I've collected some on my hikes, and it works okay for small mounts. I recently photographed a huge grape wood hunk, that I was told sold for $800 and was supposedly 100 yrs old when harvested. I still prefer cork or even tree fern slabs much more, but to each his own.

It just ain't like the Good Ole Days, and perhaps it never was...

I can get some wild grape vine that are almost as big as the one that you posted, Tony. They are on the property my hubby manages and are huge and old and their days are numbered. The owner is trying to do timber stand improvement and these are known as tree killers. I told the hubby that when he gets to those, I want to be there.

Go to PetSmart and buy it! It's way cheaper there than what you're saying it's selling for!
