your instincts are right to water a mounted plant daily...but fertilize it only once a week...stop spraying the plant with fish fertilizer everyday...use water 6 days a week and once a week only with the Alaskan fish fertilizer...

I was afraid that would be the recommendation.
I am going to have to get a 3rd spray bottle now - just for fertiliser. I already have a cinnamon/alcohol one for fungus/insects. The more orchids I keep, the more complicated it gets !

dont complicate your life...just read and research on the culture of the orchids you have...it helps to be prepared and to be ahead of it all

I do it just the opposite with the mounts. Daily watering is with fertilized water most of the time, and every 3-5 days they get dunked in plain water.

an update. I used sphagnum to help with attaching the plants to the moss ( as a lot of people suggest ). However I purchased a mount that had no moss but with really healthy roots. I thought, why not, and removed the moss from the sedirea and the brass.
In the last few weeks, the roots of the brass have really responded, I see lots of green tips. The roots of the sedirea are dotted with green pimples. So imho I don't think that sphagnum is necessary for mounts. Of course if you aren't able to water more often, then stick with the moss.
