Laelia pumila in bud
I have taken care of this orchid like its in ICU and I am now rewarded with a bud!
After fighting bug and fungi infestation...it survived and have gotten used to its mounting even if it developed algae coming from my other plants...otherwise its just happy and healthy on its existence.
This is an orchid that came from Brazil but I got it from a California grower/hobbyist.
True to its characteristics this is a small plant single leaf and the flowers do not have sheaths but comes out of the leaf itself (see photo)
I will post some more pictures when the flower opens its blooms.

Bud, I know this is an old thread but I was hoping you wouldn't mind telling me how you grow this. I just received one and I had simply thought it wouldn't be very different than the Mini Purples and walkeriana. Opps. How much humidity and light do you give yours?
