Smile Swampstick Mount Pictures

Hi Everyone! I just wanted to post some pictures I took last night of a phal I have mounted on my new Swampstick! This is my first mount, so I think it will be an experiment! Mounting the Phal was much easier then I thought it would be! Hope you enjoy the photo's! Oh, and the phal is a cross of Ching Ruey's Beauty x Taisuco Windian 'ST-2016', I think that is it and the outcome of what the blooms will look like are unkown, and I think I have a while before I will find out

I've heard Phals take very well to mounts such as this. Looks like a great mounting job. Now on to others, eh?

I don't have alot of space for hanging mounts and the Swampstick is also made with a base on it. I have ordered one of those as well since they just became available. Once the plant is established I shouldn't have to water it everyday since there is a reservoir in the middle that holds water and seeps through the clay, but I will see how that works since it is not so humid here. The mount is hanging where it will get sun in the morning but during the day or evening. I will watch it daily and watch for signs for trouble. If I have to I have a spot I might be able to move it to indoors!

Oh yes, and this is also one of many seedlings that I have revived using sphagnum moss as a growing medium. I have to say I am proud of the results! I feel like I am kind of getting the hang of things slowly!

Gin-
If you type in Swampstick (all one word) on googles search bar it should come up. If I try and type the web address, the link looks funny when I post it, but you can click on it and it should take you to the webpage:
SwampStick ™ or GROW IN HYDRO should also have a link the to website as well on the bottom of their home page. Let me know if you still have problems finding it. I thought the Swampstick was a really neat idea for those who want to mount orchids but not need to water everyday, of course I will need to water everyday until the roots become more attached to the mount, and the customer service is great as well! Sometime they take a day or so to answer emails but it is usually because the owner is out of town! I will post an update on how my plant does on this mount further down the road!
