Default Fresh Mossed cork slabs

it was time to harvest the moss and I got 2 cork slabs of it done.

The miltonia is about half what it used to be after it got bombed by erwinia bec of my numbnuts putting plants in the hot ,no air circulation ,over humidified bathroom. So it was a perfect candidate for the mossed slabs. The little white roots on the miltonia headed straight down into the moss !!! woot!!! I'm hoping the roots will hold the moss down some until its little webs start moving into the cracks of the cork..We see how the miltonia does..Its the last of the miltonidae.

Good idea. What is that ceramic post? Our plants grow rapidly but do not give many flowers.

Does Miltonia grow well in the heat of Houston? I have wanted to grow some but was worried about the heat. My orchids are outdoors. Nice Mount!

I love the fact that you did not use dried sphagnum. .... I think that even the most experienced grower can "think" the sphagnum is moist when in fact it is dry to the point of pulling moisture out of the roots of the plant. Once sphagnum is compacted on a mount and it has dried out, it almost takes soaking in a bucket to rehydrate it.
I do believe that live moss colonies that are intertwined with the roots of orchids are beneficial.
