Watering frequency

I am new to mounting orchids and have a Q regarding watering...I ahve grown orchids for years in cly pots and typically water once a week. I grow a variety of species in a sunny room, under lights, next to a window (and have been successful). From time to time I notice some root rot, and with some species that tend to spread - these are sometimes difficult to keep in a pot. For mounting, with average household humidity (sorry - no hygrometer), how often should one water mounted plants? Daily? Twice daily?
Side note: I am building a vivarium, so will put some of the plants in there. Hopefully ill control humidity and watering a bit better.

I'd say at least daily...but it depends upon the particular plants and just how you mounted them.

If you have a pad of sphagnum over the roots for example, it will stay moist longer, so watering can be less frequent.

Water them daily. I do mine 2 - 3 times a day but make sure they are dry before night time.

I water mine twice daily.
Once in the morning, I mean really water, like a shower.

And if its a really hot day and the moss is really dry, I will mist them again in the evening.

So far no root rot or other problems.
