Happy New Year!!!

Since i live in a tropical country, as much as possible i mount my orchids on live trees. I feel i can get away for a few days without watering my orchs if mounted on live trees. I just try to avoid trees that sheds its bark when it expands. If its in pots i use charcoal/orchid rocks/fern slab instead of coconut materials.

just my 2 cents.

Godbless

I love the look of the Epiweb once everything is established. I'm wondering if the cut-to-fit A/C filters would work just as well and may be easier to get the plants off if needed....not to mention much cheaper, too! I would think it would hold moisture a little better, I may have to get a few more chids and do a little experimenting!

Also, if anyone is here in SW Florida I know of a great place for large driftwood. Wigert's Bonsai Nursery has nice large pieces, I got one about 3' tall for only $10! Just got it planted last night so I'll be posting some pics soon!

Thought I'd jump in here with a new experience...

I have a few things mounted on grape vine wreaths, they look really cool UNTIL a few years pass in the Florida sun and they start crumbling apart

No more grape vine for me

Our sunshine is both a blessing and a curse!
But I'll take it over the snow anyday!
