Haha...I was driving hubby so crazy about it that we decided the next time we drive by, we're ringing the bell and asking about it. Of course, when we did drive by, it was beautifully placed up against the front of the house and it was too late
Next time, I'm stopping the first time I see one

Thanks for the compliments. I am slowly recreating the spot where it will be permanantly. I need to move some things around then next week I'm on the driftwood!! Already decided to put some tillandsias on it. I have a couple needing rehoming from the back patio, and deciding which dens and cats get to be the lucky ones I have to be careful. This is on the North side of my house but it gets some west sun in the summer & can get very hot That's why I have to move a few things. Stay tuned I'll post the pictures.

OK Suzanne... so that piece is not available. Ring that bell and ask them where they got it and maybe you'll get lucky. Neighbors love to hear that they have something so cool. You just have a different idea on how to use driftwood! Leave hubby home and get the goods. You know he'll just be standing there

Here it is. Only need a couple more tillandsias and plant broms around the area and it's done.
Here are the lucky chids to get a new home:
Den Kuniko
Den Salaya Mini Two-Tone
Cat noid 'Pat'
Blc Melinda Wheeler x C Aclaidiae
Bc Maikai
Den Nina
And there is still room for a couple more chids. Plus now there is room for my Bus trip TCs coming back from the Redlands Show in May.

This one looks great too Lorraine.

I agree, this piece of wood certainly needs more 'dressing' Always good to have some extra space for new plants! What if we would run out of space?
Question: does the Tillandsia (usneoides?) grow that fast? Your other driftwood project shows a very long ''grey beard"!

Glad you like the projects Nicole. The tillandsias seem to grow all the time here. These guys started out as only one piece but have pups and get bigger. The grey beard you are seeing is live spanish moss. I love the stuff. I have been wrapping it around the newly mounted chids to help maintain some moisture and also depending on where your chids are it can act as a sunscreen to keep them from burning. The first mount has it on there just because I like the look. The second mount is functional and interesting. I'm lucky enough to know someone who has access to extra moss when I need it. It does keep growing on it's own but does not hurt anything. Mine gets watered with everything else and mother nature.
I don't think I'll run out of space in the near future. I have a few chids I just attached to my palm trees and a space that I'll be redoing on the east side of my house. Got to get the front of the house shaped up then move around to the side. That's still being worked out in my mind or what's left of it..
