Default something new

I was at the local hydroponic store and came across these coco slabs for sale and started thinking about how they would work as good mounting media. So thats what i did and also made a coco like pocket so the plants roots would not be restricted.

Neat idea. Any special prep before you place your orchid. Do you soak the slab first??

no i usually cut a 5 inch strip off and since the slabs 4 inches thick you can make that into at least 3 mountings and i do no soaking i just lay some moss down then the plant and more moss and a fine scrap of the coco slab and wrap .
