What ends up demolished here is from tornadoes . They are not just destroyed .
There are not many left . I looked at a place that had one part that was pegged together it needed a lot of work it was so big and tall looking up gave you vertigo if younger and with more $$ would of bought it just for the barn .

I have a Brassavola nodosa 'Lady of the Night' mounted on red oak bark. It has been on this slab of bark for at least fifteen years with no critter problems. I originally pulled the bark off of a chunk of firewood because it was a perfect shape. I am pretty sure the plant was on bark when I first purchased it 25 years ago which is why I re-mounted it on bark. That said, I have to admit that was in N. Wisconsin and I am not sure i would use "wild wood" here in eastern Maryland where everything is buggier and moldy(er). When the plant is done blooming this winter I intend to re-mount it if I can figure out how, since it now covers both sides of the mount.
