Default finally mounted something...what a drought

Ok I finally mounted one . Never did find grape wood but I did find this piece. Then I couldn't find an orchid that I thought would look ok. Well, last week I bought this cutting for 10 bucks and figured if I mess it up it won't be so bad. Now I'm thinking maybe it's too big for that mount? What do u think?
BTW, that's an Lc.Petticoats x Blc.Peggy O'Neil

Nice shape to the driftwood. Did you try using the opening in it as a seat for the plant? It might have to become a table plant but I think it would look great

I thought about that, but I don't grow well indoors. Maybe I keep my A/C too high, pretty cold? Maybe I don't keep them close enough to the windows or too far? Whatever it is I can't get it right. So they all go outside ultimately.

I'd still try to sit that plant in the hole...it's like it's asking for it

The wood can stay in the same position but you'll have to maneuver the plant a bit.

It looks nice just the way it is but my creative juices start running when I see driftwood pieces and orchids together

I know what you mean, that hole's been driving me crazy for weeks. It screams "in here" but I can't seem to find a way to make it look right unless I lay it down. I've moved it in every angle imaginable.

How about a hanger at each end and keep the wood horizontal, like a sling?
