Default Unsure if I mounted this Phal correctly...

Hi everyone...
At my recent orchid society meeting, I was able to take home several orchids at no cost unfortunately because the owner moved into assisted living and could no longer care for his/her orchids. I have started taking steps to repot these new guys and found myself out of mix. Since it is super hot out and I am trying to combine all of my errands into one trip to save gas, I found what I could in my house and decided to mount. Hopefully, I did this correctly. I am unsure of how to take care of a mounted phal- would I soak it more often because it will dry out more? I also used my moss that was intended for my reptiles (i'm sure I will be criticed ) Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thanks for looking.

I think it is correct, but I would have mounted it facing down for the crown. Just my 2 cents.

Can I just turn it sideways or upside down?

Yep turn it upside down so water does not stand in the crown , it will need more watering mounted then if it was potted . You did fine it looks good .. Gin

You did an awesome job Abby, just turn it upside down so the leaves are down and the roots up and you have it made!!
