i went to the lake this past weekend and i found some reallt interesting pieces of driftwood to mount orchids on. so far i only have enough orchids to mount one.(my Ctna. Why Not)
Bonsai that looks awesome. I wonder, can driftwood from the ocean, salt water, be used also. Does the salt cause potential harm? If so will just washing it down with a hose make it ok? Or is it better to just look for it in a lake and stick to the fresh water variety.
I like the piece on the far right; kind of gnarly yet soft! Is there any other way to mount them on there? I'm not a fan of the sphagnum moss... I think it's the only way tho go though or the roots would dry out too soon right? Would Osmunda fiber work?
