Such interesting drift wood.

They make me wish I could grow mounted plants. I fear that where I have been putting them they get too much light and dry out too fast. Maybe I'm just one of the non gifted presons when it comes to mounted orchids. I have 5 bulbos mounted and not one of them will bloom, and they barely stay alive.

I'll just have to enjoy your pictures.

Marilyn, we just have to figure out what it is they need that their not getting.
How about some pics of them where they are now......has to be some simple reason. If I can grow phals mounted in Maine surely, with your expertise we can come up with a reason why your bulbos are giving you trouble.

I'm thinking it's humidity. More water, like daily, might do the trick?

Hello, I enjoyed looking at the driftwood mounts. I have posted a photo in my gallery of a couple of mine. Because the driftwood doesn't always have as many little crannies to retain moisture as cork or fern, I usually wait to mount until orchid roots are more established.
