Great job indeed. We can eleminate the fear of growing them on cement .
I wish to provide some added information here .
Some people grow them just on top of blocks made of concreate .
Very recent inovation is cover a piece of rigifoam
with cement .orchids are happy on them .

Thumbs up Me, me, me!!!!

I would love it if you marketed these mounts! An additional idea might be a seated Buddha or Kuan-Yin meditation sculpture with the orchid pocket in the hands/lap. I could think of a ton of us orchid lovers and quite a few day spas who would love that!

This is a *very* cool idea!!! Hurry up, I'll take three!

Well , There is a sacrid tree where Lord Buddha used to sit under and meditate . .Bec Lord Buddha meditated alone and obtained enlightenment . The statue is representing that mood . Orchid pocket will/may give
wrong idea .
therefore its not a correct idea.

That is too bad.

I have seen many such sculptures here in traditional Asian gardens with such a flower in Buddah's hand as if he is meditating on the flower and life held in it.

Guess that's an Americanized idea.

thanks for the input

A flower on Lord Buddha's hand is some thing better . But growing some thing on Lord Buddha's hand is can't acceptable. (Its an insult to his Lordship )
Here in our country all the statues of Lord Buddha's meditating position is with closed eyes and nothing on palms. This is not only idea of mine but of all.
I will mention here further , meaning thing of that statue is to worshiped by every one. Its some thing sacrid and we belived it .
Do You know that on T-sunami disaster all the Lord Buddha statues of along the coast line of our country remain safely. all the other buildings went upside down.
And its not just a piece of sculpture........too dear friend.

Hey do you make miniature sized pocket mounts ? Cause if you do i,ll be your customer. 40% of my collection consist of miniature species of orchids. haraella retrocalla ordorata, pleuros, masdevillia, would love these mounts. The root travel on them is great!

Thumbs up

Wow. Didn't mean to offend anyone - Sorry!!! Geeze.

Didn't mean to step on any toes or offend any religion. That was the last thing I every wanted to do. I was just asking a naive question based on my love of orchids and Asian art. Didn't realize it was so offensive so, yeah, apologies from the stupid American.

Back on subject . . . Yeah - let us know if you market it (in any form!), I'd love to get my hands on this stuff!!!! You have a huge market out here just waiting.
