i will add to Roberta's comment that braided fishing line, expensive, but it last a very long time and is unbreakable for our purposes.

i only use it for situations where it is structural, the mounting thread i want gone in a year or two tops so i like the velco best still

I use it for redfish, so the cost is minimal for me!

Mmmmm redfish! I can just see them shouldering the water. Such a great fish to catch and eat!!!

My phal is upside down Sade, because it's under timed misters that go off several times a day. It's to avoid crown rot, and I was just too lazy to get it hung "just so" to avoid water in the crown.

I hope you didn't toss the bingo balls. You could have mixed them with your LECA.

But that is a very good point!

For those who've tried this mounting technique, how are you liking it? Updated photos? Thanks.

I think we need a new forum devoted to bondage, plant abuse and discipline.

Thanks. The tamandama technique discussed in harpspiel's OP and related techniques mentioned in the replies. (Ok, I get that this isn't strictly a (typical) mount, but since it's posted in this forum ...
