Hiya gang!
So let me tell you the genesis of this question.
I have quite a few orchids that are mounted and then hung in or near trees. I do this because some of my orchids are special to me and I want to be able to keep them always and so I don’t mount them IN the trees but rather hang them out in the balcony of the tree, typically hung from a chain.
I water these plants but not anywhere near as often as my others and, consequently, they are rarely fertilized. I never give any thought to the nutrient needs of my tree mounted ‘chids as they get leaf drop and runoff and etc. but these guys, I doubt much runs down the chain and what does likely has very little value.
I wanted to experiment with the slow release pellets in a small net pot on the top of some of these mounts to replicate the occasional trickle down of food that they would get.
Sooooooo what’s the best slow release pellet fert for orchids ???
Also, I will be doing this as an experiment but if anyone has strong feelings about this or some personal experience, please share so I can learn from your time and effort.
Thanks

Something along the lines of this
Robot Check
So I can have some choices about how to affix it to the various mounts.
