I was able to mount my BLC and Polystachya Paniculata On tree fern today. I used cooking twine which, should last until the roots take, and it's easy to replace if need to be. I'm really excited about this and hoping that I didn't just kill these two plants.
They look great! Very clean. Lots of room for growth and it looks quite secure. Well done. Remember that mounted plants need a lot more attention to their hydration as they dry out a lot faster. A misting spatter might be a good purchase

Rooted in South Florida....
Both of them are in locations where I'll see them every day and be able to mist them 1-2 times a day as needed. I have a little spray bottle next to them both just to make sure I don't forget.
My mounted BLC seems to be growing a new leaf! I'm not sure if it was there when I first mounted it, or if it's grown since then, but I figure this means I must be doing something right.
(I'm still working on figuring out the right orientation to get the pics upright when I attach them, I think I'm getting closer)
