I have this dendrobium keiki growing in bark at the moment, but I'd really like to mount it to my mango tree. The plant stands about 5" high, and the long roots are about 6-8" long.
What would you suggest?
Am I better off mounting it to something else and then attaching that to the tree?

Directly on the tree will be fine. Place a pad of sphagnum over (not under) the roots and tie it on with monofilament fishing line. Once the roots reach out and grab the bark, you can remove the line.
