Akhenaten, looking great. Is that a new light unit? Did you build it yourself? I think I have finally figured out the lighting for my orchids, it certainly has been one of my greatest challenges and I thought I knew about lighting but I have recently decided to swap all my warm white lights for cool white like yours, I still don't know why but I got some appalling results off some recent amazon warm white full spectrum bulbs. I've had alright results with other warm whites but cool white seems to produce brighter light and my orchids grow better under it. Have you tried different ones?

Yes that is new LED warm light unit 240w. No, I didn't. That produce 30000 lux from 40 cm, 15000 lux at the distance 1 meter.

Yes, It's true. Cool light get more luxes. But very important how much watts use light unit. LED lamp weaker than 100 W is useless, my deep conviction

Your light looks very good. I prefer using smaller powered lights - I can spread my plants more as I don't have one large area like you, I have some in the bedroom, some in the kitchen, some in the living room, etc so I need more lower powered ones but the lights still confuse me a bit. Some of the cheap lights as I have discovered are not very good, you get what you pay for. I will still continue looking for something cheap that works though
I am getting some great results off of some 3 watt lights I bought so now I have 8 of those which can light a lot of phals but have also had bad lights. From the specs unfortunately I could not tell the difference though and orchids take so long to grow it can take months to find out if a light works as it should or not. The 3 watt ones were a mistake purchase and I did not expect anything from them but they have turned out to be amongst my favourite lights. All the best with your plants in the new year. Hope you have the heating sorted for them, it sounds absolutely freezing where you are .

Agree with that idea, OTinkerer. I have some really cheap LED's, don't cover a ton of area, but for the price it's more than worth it. They do what they need to do, where I have them. A caveat... speaking from a "here and there" experience to light a small area area. Not a bench, but works well for its purpose.

The photos are still technical Finally, a lot of repottings have been completed. It remains to make automatic watering by spraying for vandas. Then next in line is the transplant of the Cuthbertsonies to the Hygrolon. And then repotting Aclandia to a block in a row to the Vandas. And also I'll reconstruct of a tank for restrepias so that it can be placed under a Cuthbert's table.

I completely agree with you Completely And I had a project in my head to create such micro tank + lamps + micro fan with schoenorchis or mini orchids for the kitchen, bedroom, pantry, dressing room, study, desktop... With small LEDs light.
But now this idea has taken on a more gigantic scale in the form of an interior lamp + coffee table + mega glass bulb. I call this project the Cuthbertsonarium. I just don't have enough time to finish this.
