I grow in LECA Paphiopedilum micrantum, Paphiopedilum armeniacum and Paphiopedilum Maudiae vinicolor.
The problem is that the volume of the pot is 800 ml, and LECA remained constantly not just wet, but very wet, damp. Paphiopedilumes very slowly grew leaves. They lost 2 lower leaves. I transferred them from semihydroponics to simple expanded LECA with frequent watering. The state of orchids improved. Armeniacum has grown 2 sprouts, and is growing a new leaf. Micrantum began to grow a new leaf. But Maudiae tried to grow new roots, which grow 1-2 cm and turn black, with such roots already 5. Maudie began to dry the third of the three leaves. Yes, I think problems are added by the fact that there are not enough light on the north side, but they do not need much light. But by the next summer I will have a lamp for 24,000 lumens in north greenhouse.
And ahead, after October 15, mobile greenhouse will move on the south side.

Hello, total view in October



Some weeks ago I changed a watering mode of my orchids. Paphiopedilumes micrantum, armeniacum and Maudiae I watering once per 4 days. And now I receive answer. New leaves from armeniacum...



...and bud from micrantum, but I don't sure.




Another orchids corrected by the watering mode too. Dendrobium grow very big bulb. Cattleya aclandiae have new growth.

Little story of Psychopsis mariposa alba green valley in LECO
I received this plant in may 2018 which new growth:

During summer it grew this bulb:

And now it grow spike!

We expect the frosts to -38C (-36F) outside, now of course also not hot -35C (-31F) . Therefore, I’m not risking reducing the heating threshold by 1C degree in greenhouse, from +13C (+55F) to + 17C (+63F), while I’ll leave +14C (+57F) - + 18C (+65F), while now the window temperature is + 7C (44F), and the temperature of the nearest orchids are +14C (+57F) - +15C (+59F).
