Stakes for blooms support

I grow my orchids in a greenhouse. To prop the flowers I have uses a variety of stakes: wire, bamboo, natural branches etc. The ones I like best have come from plants from Hawaii, they are dark brown stakes, hollow, strong stiff and smooth in the outside and best, in rainy cloudy days do not old.
I do not know what they are made of or where to purchase them.
Can anyone tell me a source to buy?

They came from Carmela Orchids in Hawaii. They have not answer my request for info.
