I am working on the finishing touches for my greenhouse setup. I saw some soaker hoses that we have in our garage the other day. It made me wonder if since my greenhouse floor is sand, pea gravel and paver stones.
Could I bury the hoses in the gravel and use them to slowly soak the floor. The theory behind this is to use the evaporative cooling to better control the greenhouse temperature. I had originally planned on just using a misting setup, but thought this might be a simpler solution for me.
Has anyone tried anything similar to this? My main concern is that it won't be as effective as a misting system, since the mist has smaller water particles and comes into immediate contact with the air. Thanks for the advice and help.
For reference, this is the kind of hose I am refering to.
