Reliable greenhouse Temperature Alarm

Built my greenhouse in 2012. at that time I got a LaCross Technologies wireless alarm that is supposed to send a text and email when the temperature fluctuates beyond levels that can be set.

The first year it worked quite well, after the initial subscription ran out I renewed the subscription and have had nothing but trouble. the tech support is lousy and the device is no longer very reliable.

Does anyone have another option? I do not want to spend $1000 nor do I want to have to run a phone line to the greenhouse. What are you using to monitor the temperature on cold nights?

I have a SensiPhone and use a cell phone to call me. The cell phone is a cheap phone and you pre-pay the minutes three months at a time.

The alarm system works great.

Hey cold grower, I tried to put a link in here to the system I use but because I'm new it won't let me.

But google Absolute Automation and look for their TEMPERATUREALERT. It's what I use and works well, the chime will sound non-stop until the temperature goes back out or alarm.
