Default 7 year old 8'x6' EZbuild

For the first five years I just used fans and misters to cool GH in summer with mixed results mostly on the bad side. Two years ago I bought a swamp cooler and mounted a 16" greenhouse fan as a ceiling fan pulling air up.

What a difference this set up made, all plants started doing better within a few months.

Cooler sits below tables on left side, GH has a built in automatic vent I had to disconnect and install 3 4" drier vents to top back of GH for exhaust when cooler goes on. Cooler is hooked to a automatic thermostat.

Cooler is on low all summer, if I turn it on high it literally blows the top vent open and makes the panels of the Gh bow out. I'd notice that I pay maybe $20.00 extra a month during summer for electricity which ain't at all bad for this addiction.

The GH had taken on a life of its own, if you notice in the one picture with the bird nest ferns in the background, the plants in the foreground are plants that somehow just arrived and made themselves at home and there seeds pop up everywhere.

No plans to expand, I am slowly sorting out plants and putting more effort into my Brassavola species and primary collection, I have every species of Brassavola and hope to start doing some selfing of the more rare ones, also create some new hybrids if I'm lucky.

'No plans to expand' shows a stronger character than I can claim.

Pics also shows why the next size up is a better choice from the beginning.
