Decided to go one step further

I now have an 8 by 6 greenhouse given to me as a gift ,,, trick was it had 200 screws ,lots of framework and no instructions. But after countless hours of scratching my head it finnaly came together , i just transition my oncidiums and some other species outdoors , i only have a small fan for now and leave it on 24 /7 ,

I went to hardware store and purchased frosted paint spray for the above panels to avoid direct sunlight , i am noticing wide array of temps in the house , and the base is pure sand ,as it once was a patio . I plan on setting up hydro within the greenhouse soon ,

I am not sure correct placement of fan or if i should cut out a panel and somehow mount fan blowing in fresh air. And one for exhaust,, what is best and No it has no venting , all panels are solid .

I took out some back panels on mine for fresh air in the heat and I take out one roof pane on the top so the heat can escape...You can cut the panels but they are hard to replace as far as I know. I have 3 fans in my 8 x 6 and its not enough but Im already at 100 in the greenhouse so its just hot air moves around. I know your temps are friendlier than mine. I use shade cloth over it and that helps cover the missing panes up and keep critters out. I thought about the paint but shade cloth was easier to apply good luck and you cant beat that for free !!!

you going to get tired knocking them plants over on the shelves too.. I built the wood benches to fit the clay pots. I can slide them around and they dont fall over.OB people have seen this design before many years ago from me. you pots got to be all the same sizes

Thats a great setup , thanks for sharing , i decided to seperate the my 3 tier shelve into 3 sections , lower to the ground , seems abit cooler closer to ground and added 2 more fans , also opened top triangle window gor air to escape , so far i have not been able to find shade cloth near me .
Oh , what is that white fluffy stuff on your shelves and hangin off your vandas..

The 'white fluffy stuff' is Tillandsia Usneoides, an air plant. Like high humidity

Squirrel...what is that green netting on your pots? I love that stuff! I can see some use for that in my orchid house...where did you get it?

Steve...I love your new greenhouse! Squirrel is right...I don't know anything about the weather in London but you still need circulating air inside there! (And a way for the heat to escape)

I have relocated my GH this year to a spot in the yard just beside a bush that when full bloomed will allow afternoon shade , I cutout 5 holes on the vertical walls and screened them up with door screen , I added 4 fans , one oscillating and a few others at different locations , including one at the back for exhausting the air , Next thing is to monitor temps , I seen the device that Ray offers from his site , called Lacrosse , I think that will be on my wishlist soon .

I am just thinking the best method of basement to GH transfer as I run my lights from 7pm at night till 7am , but if i move them out the light timing will change and be daylight vs. darknight . i hope that does not confuse the plant too much . I think i will leave my paphs indoors this year as they did not do well under GH heat , vs my oncids and brassias . ah well time to brainstorm some more .

RJ, love your setup. Good idea with the pot holders on the benches. I am finishing up the last few things in my GH setup now. I will make a post soon about it when i get everything finished. You should send me some of that spanish moss, it looks great!
