Other than that very minor thing, it's looking awesome. Love the rounded access steps!
Actually, the greenhouse instructions tell you to bury the steel base for stability. We opted to put the base on pressure treated 4x6 lumber because here in Oregon the water table is about 3" down. The steel would have rusted away. The pressure treated lumber is above ground and will last at least 10 years. I would have loved to build the foundation out of brick or cinder blocks, but the budget wouldn't allow it.
Perhaps in 10 years we'll redo and provide a proper mason foundation.

We've added a few things. Several weeks ago we build a sheet metal shield under the benches where the Dracs. hang to prevent water from raining down on them from the plants above on the benches. All of the water from the plants on top runs down the roofing metal and dumps into a gutter at the back of the benches. The water is then carried out to the ends and drops down on the gravel below. The second pic shows some of the Dracs hanging. There are 2 rails that are 10' long to hold the hanging plants.

Veggies are good!
I have a number of things that I want to do still. There will be more to come this Spring.
I am seriously in need of some lights with the daylight being so short.

Thanks Adam. We put the evap cooler together, but it was too small, it needs much bigger fans. Realistically, I ended up spending a lot of money on it. I could have purchased a good used one from Craigslist.

Oh, and btw, I saw one of these on ebay. some guy was putting them together and selling for like $100.00. I made one here for about 35.00

Liana: Thanks for the link; I wonder if you could scale this up with the rubbermaid garbage can like the lead in to project states...pair it with a can fan and away we go (though it might be noisy...)

your greenhouse is beautiful n very well built...I want a bigger one now if I make it thru the cold season. I notice your in the northwest and cold is much more of an issue for you. we all worry about keeping stuff cool here. im happy I get to see what other people have and how they deal with it....

I would like to do a lot of the work myself to save some money. nature points out again and again the folly of such men ...

I think Im going to spend the buck and get a package on a truck

I see many happy happy flowers in your future and a thinner wallet

Thanks for the kind comments RJ. We have a little ways to go yet and the wallet is already thinner! I have some big plans, we'll see how they shake out.

I love the landscaping you have done around your greenhouse build. It looks fantastic.

Very sweet of you to say, thank you! I am blessed to have the chance to have this greenhouse. I hope you have a greenhouse of your own one day too.
