so, after having this greenhouse for some time, and I think you even moved it once? would you recommend it to someone? is it wind hardy? what is the max sustained wind you have had with it set up? it looks so good, its tempting! thanks for your info!

if a big wind comes along my neighbor will have a greenhouse . Its not really much more than a protected frame from the hot sun and a holder of the shade cloth. If you want to get your feet wet playing with a small greenhouse and use it as a learning tool, Its fine. Its too small already.Ive learned more about what I want and need...A 14 x 20 seems to be about the right size for a single hobby grower. Next year Im ready for an upgrade. Remember I started out in a bathroom window

Its left an impression for sure. For 600 bucks Im getting my money worth...

as far as winterizing.. Ive put all the side panels back on 1st cool front below 55 we got this last week. Got to put the doors back on too...I will get a little space heater if it gets too cold below 40. See how that works. I might end up with stuff in the garage again to keep it from getting to frosty. I really dont know to be honest. Im just going to play it as it happens

I am in greenhouse withdrawal, lol.....I had to leave my 12x24 greenhouse in nc....sold everything off, and left it for the next owner....oh well....I am in Oklahoma now, and the winds scare me so! I cant bear the idea of a big storm coming in the night and taking my orchids away! so, I have not really thought about building again....but seeing yours, I wonder if maybe I could do one of these? they make an 8x16...I just cant pull the trigger on it tho....you seem to do so well with yours...I will see how your winter goes...the polycarbonate looks thin to me, but with the cheap price of nat gas here it could be heated I think....wondering.....maybe it could be covered with a solar pool cover and a heavy shade cloth and staked down real well.....anyway, thanks for your input!

it is cheap and thin doesnt just look the part. sometime you do get what you pay for

My first greenhouse and made me think.... That everytime I start thinking it cost me more money.

Oklahoma winds are very different than what we get on the coast short of a hurricane. You get dust storms along with your winds. If you are going to stay somewhere for a while I would build a sturdier structure to be sure of that.

updated...it got down to 41 last night and with a lttle propane portable heater rated 1500 watts it stayed between 55 and 62. I couldn use electric heat as its too many amps on the circuit with my fans. got a campin buddy heater...suks up propane. 1lb bottle didn't last but 8 or so hours. f I don't use it till the temps inside drop below 50 it should make it. long term it is no solution for heating. its too expensive n inefficient heat source.

Can you put in some bubble wrap insulation to keep the heat in? I think I read somewhere on this forum that people do that.
