This goes to show, politics are woven into everything, even our beloved orchids!
Personally, I support environmental protection and the protection of the individual species' DNA reserve. If removing a plant that is threatened from one part of the forest, so that it can flourish in another area without causing damage, I am all for it. I don't live there, and I will not make value judgments on another's lifestyle until I have lived in that culture for a while.
But, this made me think -and of course, I have to ask - If we can't respect each other, how can we be expected to respect the environment?
