Camille, not sure if you can see in the first pic just behind the masdi, below the gastochillus... but the tiny tiny tiny mount is my leptotes unicolor which I almost lost a while back. I remember you being suprised a while after that I had still had it. I went down to 3 leaves but is now back up to 5

I remember that it had survived, but didn't know that it was making a comeback. That's great!!

Nice little spot! Funny, my Masd Highland Fling is 3/4 veitchiana and the flowers are not very big. Makes me wonder if it is really that or was mislabelled.

I did think Highland Fling was a relatively large flowered Masdi like this one (maybe a little smaller) from when I saw one at a show. However the way genetics works you could find in one seedling the smaller characteristic from the other parent comes out more, and in another seedling more comes out from the veitchianna. One of the variabilities of hybrid seedlings

Ya, I know but since one parent is veitchiana and the other is half that again, you gotta wonder. I just measured my bloom and it is only just over half the width of what OrchidWiz says Highland Fling should be for an average spread. I'll love it for what it is-whatever that is

Like the shots of the greenhouse and nice to see that your veitchiana is blooming again.
